[Opinions] Jerome
This is a name that had been on and off my list for years. Recently I've done some research on St. Jerome and have fallen in love with it. Thoughts?

I can't see it on a white kid. Does that make me a douchebag? :/
No, it makes you honest. :-)
Also, it makes you realistic.
I love it. Haven't thought of it in a while... I may actually add it to my list for the twins.
I like it. It's very handsome-sounding.
I don't mind Jerome at all. I'm kind of surprised it isn't used more.
It's nice, but I'm wandering if it isn't a bit snooty-sounding in English.
In the US at least, it's quite the opposite. A lot of Americans seem to regard it as a stereotypical African-American name.

I adore Jerome! It's immensely sleek and sexy.
I think it's difficult to say out loud. Enough that it would bother me a little, living with someone named it. I guess if the J was pronounced zh, it would be less gruff sounding.
I never noticed that it was basically the same name as Hieronymus and also Geronimo, though. Interesting.

if somebody had a kid named Geronimo ...
And yelled out the door for him, the neighbors would run to see if they were going to jump off something high.

I had a friend at university that had a sex toy named Jerome. Yepp. I think of that.
I hear Jerry 's mom on Seinfeld calling him "Juh-rommme."
I want to like Jerome. It's classic, strong, and does have great connections like St. Jerome. There's something about it that feels terribly stiff and conservative to me. Jerome sounds like the uncompromising and overly serious judgemental patriarch of a Catholic family with 13 kids. Odd really, because the only Jerome I know is a very goofy fun kind of guy.
I know what you mean, it really does have an austere sound. :-/
I don't know anything about St. Jerome, but I like the name itself a lot. It's not really my style, but it's one of those names I appreciate.
It's weird how it's an instantly recognizable name to me (and gives a similar familiarity as Jason and James, but doesn't have the same blah quality) but I've never met anyone who bears it.
It has a gentle, charming vibe to it without being fragile. Just an overall sweet name.
