Hello, there is a St. Noel Chabanel,a French Jesuit missionary who came to Canada in the 1600's to work among the Huron Indians. He suffered difficult conditions and constant danger but vowed to God to continue the work. He was eventually killed by an apostate Huron Indian. His feast day is Dec. 26th. So, in addition to Noel or Noelle (the feminine of Noel)being a saint's name, it also represents the birth of Christ. So, who not? It's a great confirmation name.
