Is it illegal to name a Norwegian child Adolf? In Sweden it would probably be seen as controversial, but it wouldn't be illegal. I mean, it's an old royal name after all. (Not that I would use it, it's way too blemished.)Does the sea exist

Yes it is. If someone is named Adolf here these days, they are either very old or born outside Norway. I think it is to protect the children against bullying or something.. Or the assossiation to Hitler. I don't like the sound of Adolf either, so its totally ok to me.
