Help[Opinions] Mn help, honoring questions, is a nickname as a given name ok?
I'm not expecting but maybe in the near future, I'm not sure. But I would still love some advice on the boy name I like and girl combo I like.
Luke:
1. Is this popular right now? Someone on the board said it and related names are popular (I don't want to end up with the next Addison ).
2. I don't like Lucas, I like Luke. Can Luke stand on its own?
3. Middle name ideas?
4. Any bad associations?
Lucy Kate:
1. Too popular?
2. Should it be Louisa, Lucia(loo cee uh) or simply Lucy?
3. What do you think of Kate as the middle name? I like the meanings together and I think they sound good together but I'm not sure if they really do.
4. Bad associations?
My honoring question:
A lot of my family members have formal names but go by a socially acceptable nickname (like Tom/Thomas Dan/Daniel). What do you all think of using the nickname, the name you really associate with that person, rather than the formal name? That's why I want to use Kat. A close relative is Kate/Catherine. I think I just want to use Kate though.
