Love Noelle! Although I also love the Christmas association so that's not a negative for me. :)
My sister's middle name is Noel (pronounced like Noelle) and I had a male professor named Noel in undergrad (pronounced like NOLE). In my sister's case, my parents picked that middle name because my mom's maiden name is Nowell. I don't think either of them have had too much of a Christmas problem, other than occasionally being asked "Were you born around Christmas?"
