Ditto for Anthony / Antony. Didn't know people used Amy as a nickname for Amelia (feels like a waste).
For me, the big two are James & Gabriella. James is such a good, strong name; Jamie is all right, not terribly offensive but nms either; but Jim / Jimmy doesn't even sound real. It's a giant, mush-mouthed schwa. How it survived as a legitimate name, I'll never know.
And Gabriella... I can't think of another name that is so beautiful on its own, but whose nickname is an actual (negative) epithet. Granted, "gabby" isn't a common insult, but it's still in use.
EDIT: Totally forgot Madeleine for a second. Madeleine is lovely, but "Maddy" is... well, Mad.
