[Opinions] twin sister of Zahara Sage
Suggestions? As you may have read, my top consideration is Hazel with a Spanish pronunciation (rhymes with gazelle). Our home is bilingual and our schools are full of Hispanic children with clearly Hispanic names, but honestly and sadly, there is still a good deal of racial prejudice among the children. Should I give my genetically "white" children ethic names just because I like the sound of them? On the flip side, one of my many goals is to raise children who can identify and resist such ethnocentricity. They'll become comfortable with dealing with prejudice living in the bible belt and conceived using a known French sperm donor whom we've arranged to stay in contact with. Maybe Zahara and Hazel (again rhymes with gazelle) would be just the pair to pull this off in contrast to Sophia and Lydia, for example. Phonetically, I like vowels, z,v,j,h,& l, and names that stress the second or third syllable. Thanks so much.

You should choose the names that you like the best imo. Zahara is very pretty. I'm not crazy about the English pronunciation of Hazel but it seems like the Spanish pronunciation is pretty. Zahara and Hazel would be nice sister names. other ideas (sister names for Zahara):
Liora
Eliora
Eliana
Simone
Isadora / Isidora

I think you should ultimately go with the names that you love the most. Dividing them up and categorising them into Spanish and non-Spanish only makes it harder to pick and choose, plus you're limiting yourself as to what names you can use and it's unfair to you.Let me make sure I'm pronouncing Hazel the Spanish way: 'ah-ZEHL'. Correct? Here are my suggestions:Zara
Jemima
Liliana
Veronica
Lorena
Zuleikha
Lucilla
Jessica
Juliana
