[Opinions] Alicia

I'd pronounce it A-LEE-shee-a. Pronouncing the "li" as "lay" sounds odd to me. It's definitely a name that has grown on me, amongst the variants of Alice.
I adore it pronounced ah-LISS-ee-ah. However the multiple pronouciations do put me off using this name. I have never actually met an Alicia.
The first way is the most common among the Alicias I've known. I also like the third pronunciation you mentioned. I've also heard of Alisa / Elisa, which is also pretty.
I like both names but I'll go with Alicia for now. Alyssa is SO common it's kinda like Sara to me. Good names that just need a breather for a few years.

I'm from the Chicago area, and I've only ever heard the uh-LEE-shuh pronunciation. It's a nice enough name, but not one I'd ever use.
However, as I understand it, the name is pronounced uh-LEE-see-uh in Great Britain, which I find much more palatable. But I don't think that pronunciation has caught on anywhere in the States, sadly.

It's an okay name I pronounce it AH-LEE-SHA. I've only ever heard it pronounced like that
I say ah-LISH-a, because the only Alicia I know personally is my cousin, and that's how she says it. Never occurred to me to say it a different way for most of my life.
It's not awful but it's very overrated. I can't recall any I've known, but there may have been one or two. e-LEESH-a.
It's okay - a bit frilly for my personal taste. I've known one ə-LIS-ee-ə and one ah-LEE-see-ə. The first one was English and annoying, the second is I think from Argentina & is very nice - and the way she says her name sounds much nicer to me, but it could be the attractive accent and infinitely better personality, ha.
Alyssa doesn't really appeal to me. I'd prefer Alice / Alys.

I don't like Alicia, and I'm not entirely sure why. Maybe just the impression I got of it from the few I went to school with.
I've never heard it pronounced ah-LISH-a. All of the ones I've known were a-LEE-sha, and one a-LEE-see-a.
I guess I prefer Alyssa because it feels lighter and softer and nicer. But I don't like the -issa sound at all.

All the ones I've known have said "A-LEE-Sha. I like Alicia well enough. It's way better than the glum Alice, not as soft as Alyssa, and not as down-to-earth as Allison.
If I was going to rank the names, I would have Alice off the list entirely because I hate the name. It would be Allison, followed closely by Alyssa, and then ALicia a little ways back.

I've always heard it prn. uh-LEE-sha, like Alicia Keys.
