Kayla is a nothing name, like last week's white bread and margarine, curling up at the edges.
I've got a
Gary nephew who is wonderful, but I've always mildly regretted that they didn't use
Gareth. I like
Gerry if it's (a) pronounced like
Jerry and (b) short for
Gerald.
Desiree is a paradox. As a name, it is most things I dislike, but the only two
Desiree people I know have turned that opinion on its head - one a good friend from our first year at school, and one a pleasant and spectacularly beautiful teenager whose mn is
Bridget!
As a sibset, therefore, it doesn't seem to hang together. Maybe the first two were named after people and for #3 they just went with what they liked.
