[Opinions] Maegan?
Do you like the name "MAY-gen"? How would you spell it? I like either Maegan or Maegen. Could I please have your opinions on these two spellings, and on the name itself? Thanks :)ETA- Could Maisie be used as a nn for Maegan or Maegen as well as Margaret?
*Brogan*

Please, spell it Megan. There are waaay too many ways to spell this name, and keeping it as Megan makes it so much simpler. I've known people who spell it Megan, Meghan, Meagan, Meaghan, Meighan, Meegan, Maegan, and even Meaghanne (eww!). It's kind of like Brogan. The spelling Brogan is so much nicer and less of an eyesore than, say, Bhroghan.

I prefer Megan or Meghan only.

Please spell it correctly. Megan can get you that pronounciation, and doesn't look like a train wreck. I don't like the name, it's trendy and a nickname.Margaret nns Megan and Maisie would be lovely!

Maegan is lovely. I'm not sure if Maisie could work, but whatever.

I absolutley love it lately! I like the spelling Maegan or Megan, pronounced MAY-gen only, not MEG-en. To me, Maegen looks a bit funny, stick with the origional spelling. Both names could be shortened from Margaret :)

Honestly? My first response was, "Ew, yuck!" Sorry, but Maegan's just a butchered spelling of Megan to me. And imo Megan should only be spelled Megan (and pr. MEG-an, although I'd accept Megan pr. MAY-gan before Maegan pr. MAY-gan).You could also use Meegan (MEE-gan), which is actually a transference of an Irish surname (http://snipurl.com/oc0m).P.S. While I'm on this semi-rant (again, sorry!), I should note that Meghan is in no way, shape, or form an Irish name. It's a faux-Irish misspelling of a Welsh name.

I don't really like Megan with any spelling, but if I had to pick, the over-voweled one is not the one I'd choose. Maisie could work for it, though, since they both have the May- sound, and Maragaret doesn't have an S in it any more than Meghan does.

I like it Maegan. I've known a bunch of people who spell it this way... but other than that i don't know eaxtcly why I prefer it. I love the name, though! It's much more interesting than just Megan.I think Maisie could work here as well. It would work better with Margaret, but it could go with Maegan.
