For an instant antidote to the Disney princess notion, try Googling Ariel Sharon!
Ethereal, maybe ... but Ariel in The Tempest seems more male than female, though with that kind of magical life form it can be hard to tell. I find it trendy and sentimental, not a mixture I favour; but plenty of people do.
