[Opinions] Fraser vs Frasier
So... Sian suggested Fraser for our #3, and I really, really love it. (Other kids are Hattie Camille and Meyer Sullivan.)My dilemma is that I prefer the Frasier spelling, and I feel like it is established enough to not look bizarre, but.. it's not the original spelling, so I have a mental block. LOL. What do you prefer? And when you look at Fraser, do you say, "fray-zhure" or "fray-zer"? Because I want it pronounced "fray-zhure," but don't like the Frazier spelling. :-pAlso... middle names... ? Last name starts with a K, and is one syllable.Frasier Jamison
Frasier Graham
Frasier August (initials FAK?)
Frasier Robert (my dad's name, but is the double "R" a problem? I'm not feeling it... :/ )Jamison, August and Graham are some favorite names for first names, but I probably won't use. Well... okay, maybe Graham and August are still on the list as first names.

Where I am from, you never hear it pronounced FRAY-zer. It wasn't until I heard Hadley Fraser say his own name a few years ago that I even knew there were alternative pronunciations of the name.I like Fraser and Frasier. I do NOT like the Frazier spelling. The Z makes it look like the cheap version of the name. Stay away.
I like both spellings of Fraser and Frasier and I like both pronunciations.
I think where you live and how the name is most commonly said there would have to be the best way to determine which way you should say/spell it.I like Frasier Graham best, I think.
But Frasier August is nice too.

I prefer the spelling Fraser. The unnecessary I tips it over into pretentious territory, IMO.I say "fray-jur" no matter how it's spelled.

Fraser - fray-zer
Frasier - fray-zhur (or possibly fray-see-er)I prefer the look of Fraser but since I don't pronounce them the same I would go with Frasier.
It's kind of theme-y to have both Meyer and Frasier in a sibset. It does bother me, to be honest.
Frasier Jamison and Frasier August are my favorite combos from your list.

I actually pronounce it "fray-zhure". Frasier Graham is nice, and I like Frasier Jamison too. It fits so well with your other kids names!

Fraser is quite popular in Scotland, where it's pronounced FRAY-zer. If you want the FRAY-zhure pronunciation, I'd spell it Frasier.Frasier Graham is nice.

Fraser (FRAY-zer). Frasier reminds me of the tv show.

First thought, the American boxing legend Joe Frazier, as far as I can remember is the pronunciation FRAY-see-er.
Do you mean something maybe like this? For me personally there would be a difference in pronunciation, Fraser=Fray-zer &
Frasier=Fray-see-er, in any case not Fray-czar. (That would be something like this: Frasar)
I like Fraser Jamison quite well, maybe also Fraser Tennyson, Fraser Donovan.

I've never heard Fraser pronounced any other way than FRAY zer, and I've known a few. 'Aser' doesn't naturally make a 'zh' sound in English, but 'asier' does, so I'd go with Frasier. I like Frasier Graham best.

I like Fraser or Frasier. I think Frasier is known enough as a surname it shouldn't be a huge issue. I would only pronounce it fray-zhure... I actually didn't know fray-zer was a pronunciation until I watched the Outlander TV show and that's how they say it and I'm like NOOOOO I've been reading those books for years and saying it differently! :P So anyway, I don't know how prevalent fray-zer is irl, I've never heard it!

I think you'd really need to spell it Frasier if you want it said that way. I don't think many people would intuitively pronounce Fraser that way and you might have difficulty with that.Frasier August is nice

Hi !!!I found Fraser very recently..
I like it!I would pronounce it fray-zer.
I didn't know that it could be also with zh..But I strongly dislike Frasier / Frazier pronounced with zh..
They would be too complex, mispelled and strange. So I can only suggest you to use Fraser with the pronounciation that you mostly likeFraser August is the best combo here!!
It flows well with your favourite ones!Fraser Graham is awesome!
