Help[Opinions] Question about Lisette as a nickname...
This is not for anything in real life right now, just something I've been thinking about.
If I were to someday have a daughter and name her Elspeth, most logically she would be called something like Elsie or Ella for a nickname.
However, what do you think about using Lisette as a diminutive or nickname for an Elspeth? Lisette is a French diminutive of Elisabeth, and Elspeth is a Scottish form of Elisabeth.
Do you think that would be legitimate? Or too strange? What about using other diminutives for Elisabeth for an Elspeth?
