What are your thoughts on
Nathaniel
. I don't think I'd shorten it but know many would probably shorten it to
Nate
and I'm ok with
Nate
~ Always end the name of your child with a vowel, so that when you yell the name will carry ~
#Nathaniel

I like it a lot. It's soft and strong at the same time, with lots of history.
Nate
is nms.
Love
the suggestion of
Thane
for a nickname.

I like
Nathaniel
. I would probably prefer
Nathan
, though and he would go by
Ned
because there is a
Nate
in the family.

I like that its soft. A lot of softer boy names feel whiny, but I don't get that from
Nathaniel
. I think it sounds wonderful with
Patience
also.

I prefer
Nathan
.
Nate
is okay, but I don't like
Nat
for boys. I don't love it for girls either, as
Talia
, Tallie and
Tasha
work better for
Natalia
,
Natalie
and
Natasha
. I like
Nathaniel
, but love
Nathan
.

I like it. I know one who goes by
Nat
/ Natty, and one who is just
Nathaniel
.

I think
Nathaniel
is very handsome. Not a big fan of
Nate
though.

I think it is one of the more beautiful male names. I would readily use it as a middle name.

I like it, but I don't like any of it's nicknames. I think
Thane
is my favorite nickname though.

I love
Nathaniel
. It's one of my favorite boy names and I'd seriously consider using it.
Nate
is a cute nickname, though I prefer
Nathan
.
