I think it's handsome but always feared it was a bit fussy. I met a little Sebastian a couple years ago and his parents are the most conceited people I've ever known so it kind of ruined the name for me personally. :(

All I can think of is the crab from The Little Mermaid.

I've always liked it. It's a common name for people my age here, as well as young children. I doubt I will ever use it, but it's definitely in my top 15 or so.

I like it a lot.

I love it, and I even like the Italian form, Sebastiano. I would consider it for a child, but my DBf surname is really too long for that.

It's my cat's name. I prefer it for a pet.

It gets two things going in my head. First, it sounds pompous and pretentious, and second, its association with Lord Coe, formerly Sebastian Coe the 1980 Olympic gold medallist in the 1500, gives it an aura of dedication and immense sporting talent. So I think my ambivalence would stop me from considering it!

I've loved it for years and I still adore it despite popularity. I'm currently loving the Sébastien (French) spelling, however. I also like the four syllable pronounciation a lot better than the three. Overall, it's top contender for my SO and I in the future.

One of my favorite names ever! I prefer the Spanish version, though: Sebastián.

I'm not a huge fan. I knew a Sebastian whom everybody called "Sea Bass".
