I would say that's probably true that some people would find it offensive, even if you don't. Words are definitely politically correct or not nowadays and I would say that terminology is not a "nice" way to describe religion, or anything really. Sometimes people have a hard time finding the word they are looking for, and I imagine Gracie wouldn't want to offend her or any other religion by calling it "baggage."

Yeah... I might could work on my phrasing, and if I think of something better will change it, but I'm concerned about if it seems fundementalist given my location, and that's what I meant by baggage.

Its just people are often bigoted against people who are religious and the term "baggage" is a negative term. I've never heard it used in a positive light. Perhaps 'connotations' would be a better term.

For what it's worth, I am religious and I don't find your usage of the term baggage offensive. I think it's considerate to think that if your child grows up to be atheist, they might not want a typically religion-associated name.

Well, also if they're a moderate Christian or a Catholic if people will make assumptions about them being angry right wing evangelical Christians.

I must admit, the only Faith I've known is the daughter of very religious fundamental Christian parents.

I don't think I've ever met a Faith, but I would definitely assume they're religious on some level.
