I had a good friend at college who was Sandy short for Alexander. I like it & think it's a nice change from Alex.
All the girl versions are fine, but not personal favourites. Do you like Sandrine?

I have a young niece-by-marriage named Sandrine. (she lives in France.)It's a nice name.
