I love it. I like Annmarie. I like how all those hump letters next to each other and how it sort of runs together. Annemarie looks more buttoned up to me

My cousin's name is Annmarie (well, she's my dad's cousin, but still). Everyone has always called her Annie - I suspect she only got "Annmarie" when she was in trouble, lol! Anyway, it took me years to discover that her real / legal name was Annmarie, since I'd only ever known her as Annie.

As for spelling, I actually prefer the Annemarie spelling, since I've always found the "two Ns and an M" to look terribly awkward smashed together. But I'm not really one for "combination" names, anyway, so I doubt I'd use this in real life. On a character, maybe.

I don't care for smooshed names in general so neither spelling appeals to me although I do like Anne Marie and Anne-Marie (which I briefly toyed with while carrying my youngest dd).

If I had to choose between Annmarie and Annemarie, I'd go with the latter because Anne and Marie are both French (more congruous) and I don't have to look at the three consonants side by side with Annmarie.

ETA that I obviously like Anne-Marie (and Anne Marie) because I briefly considered it for my dd. At the end of the day, however, it just felt a tad dated (although lovely) while Anna Maria felt too exotic and both felt too expected.

I think it's beautiful and sophisticated without being snobbish. It was a back up name for our daughter. I prefer it spelled Annemarie.

With Marie I prefer the more French-looking Anne. But where I live it's almost as dated as Mary-Anne.

Annemarie or Anne Marie, definitely, although I prefer the latter. Annmarie looks weird, like Fiammetta said.

Annemarie or Anne Marie. Annmarie looks odd. Isn't it a bit dated? In Italy, Anna Maria has very middle aged, if not senior citizen vibe by now.
