I dislike Arielle and hate Ariel. Arielle seems so fluffy and vapid to me and Ariel is a boys' name. At least Arielle (ah-ree-EL) has a nice enough sound, while Ariel (AIR-ee-ul) is just kind of whiny.
I could get behind Arielle as a middle name with a classic, no-nonsense first name, like so:
Elizabeth Arielle (love this, actually)
Jane Arielle
Eve Arielle
Genevieve Arielle
Ivy Arielle
Madeline Arielle
Naomi Arielle (liking this one too)
Violet Arielle
Vivian Arielle
I'm not a huge fan of Disney princess names but I do like Jasmine, Anna (ANN-ah and not AH-na like in the movie, though), and Sofia.
