Do you think Ulysses is usable today? It was the name of a well-liked president, so it has a good association, but will people just think of the Greek myth?

Also what middle names would you pair with it?

I know a little Ulysses. He pulls it off incredibly, and everyone loves his name. His middle name is Javier, which I think is great.

I love Ulysses. I actually have it down as a potential middle name. I think it's quite usable. My mother though, when I mentioned it, didn't care for it at all--lol.

I love Ulysses. It's one of my favorite male names. I don't know if people will think of the Greek myth more than they do the President, but I don't think it matters.

I knew a Ulysses a few years ago, so, yes, I think it's usable.

So many good choices, and yes, I think of Odysseus as well as President Grant. I like to see complicated names like Ulysses with short middles, so my favorites on this list are Ulysses Max and Ulysses Anton.

I think so! I want Ulysses to make a comeback. I associate it more with the President than with Greek mythology. The Greek myths are more associated with the name Odysseus to me, although I know it is another version of Ulysses.

Its one of the only U names I don't hate. I think its more usable than Odysseus, at least.

Yes I think it is usable today. Maybe because I know someone named Ulysses :) He is around 34 years old. I'm not exactly sure - he used to work with my husband...

As of middle names I probably would use something like

Ulysses Theodore
Ulysses William
Ulysses Oscar
