This name "Priya" caught my attention the other day. I'm kind of liking it but can't seem to come up with a middle name that sounds right to me.

Can you give me some middle name suggestions for it?

Does your family have a connection with the area where this name is used? Although it’s a gorgeous name, I’m not sure it’s one that’s ready to leap across any cultural divides just yet. I’d find it especially unusual if none of her siblings had an Indian name. Maybe As a middle?

Thank you. No I don't have any connection to the area. I'm not planning on using the name other than maybe for a future fur baby. I'm done with having children I think. I just really like the name and was going to figure out a middle name for it to put in my stock pile list. :) But you are right it would work as a middle name too. :)

My thoughts

At least where I live, Priya is really strongly associated with Indian / South Asian culture and languages. It would seem out of place, at least to me, on someone who had no connection to that heritage, especially paired with an English name.
