At least where I live, Priya is really strongly associated with Indian / South Asian culture and languages. It would seem out of place, at least to me, on someone who had no connection to that heritage, especially paired with an English name.

Thank you. No I don't have any connection to the area. I'm not planning on using the name other than maybe for a future fur baby. I'm done with having children I think. I just really like the name and was going to figure out a middle name for it to put in my stock pile list. :)
