Alice and Oliver were beyond thrilled to welcome little Caitriona into their family. The feisty little girl took to her new family from the very beginning, seeming to bound right into the center of the Frost family's universe. She especially loves Everard, who in turn spoils her with frequent piggy-back rides and extended play times together. Although none of the older kids are particularly physically oriented, Dev grew up playing some sports recreationally and playing rough with his peers, so he's best suited of the three to engage their new sister in the physical play she enjoys the most. He has been teaching her basic sports, which she has excelled in so far. Caitriona's intense moods and impulsive choices have been obstacles to her settling in, but her parents are very capable of handling the tantrums and they have observed the little girl responding more to reasoning in the past months. They worry that Caitriona will face feelings of abandonment because she left her teenaged mother after three years with her, but so far she has not demonstrated any behavior to suggest this as an immediate problem.
Meanwhile, Adele has been part of the Frost family for five years now, and my the time does fly. Her home stability has helped her to really thrive in school, and she now receives above average grades in all of her courses. She plans to attend university next year and would like to pursue a degree in engineering. Her parents and teachers are proud to say that her behavior has greatly improved as well; she hasn't faced disciplinary action in years now. Unfortunately, her bond with Everard, which was always less based on actual affection and more on prank logistics, slackened over the years. The two laugh together still, but both would rather they were closer. On the other hand, Adele and Morwenna have only become closer.

They weren't too keen on adopting siblings, but were so taken with the two boys that they made an exception. Though neither Len nor Evie are particularly religious they take the boys to a local synagogue every Saturday, and have enrolled themselves in classes there to study Judaism more so that they can support the boys.
Eli and Orson get along very well, they both love baseball and Orson has been teaching his new younger brother better ways to hit and helping him improve his pitching. He enjoys Kate's quieter nature, and the two are often study buddies since they both do very well in school.
Finn seems to be thriving in his new home, he loves that he's the youngest and that there's always someone around to entertain or play with him. Though he is still having trouble napping, Evie finds it's a bit easier if she puts him down in the room with her because then when he wakes up he knows where she is right away.
Xander is almost ready to graduate, and is slowly apartment hunting with his girlfriend Celia. He's been dragging his feet more than she would like because he doesn't want to leave his adopted siblings, especially Orson, and he will miss being around to help out.
Kate is doing excellently in school, her favourite subjects are art, English, and social studies, but she does well in every subject except gym. She is often a study-buddy during recess or lunch for kids who need help, since she doesn't like running around outside.
Pippa, however, loves gym, and sports, and stuck with the soccer that Len and Evie signed both her and Kate up for when they were four. She isn't doing as well in school as her sister, but still gets decent grades. She also enjoys art, and hers and Kate's room is absolutely covered in drawings.

The newest Hawthorne family member turned out to be the biggest challenge for Dylan and Ashley. Little Sawyer was adopted as an infant by another family but was removed from the family due to neglect and domestic violence. After he was brought home he could be clingy one minute and dismissive the next one which confused his siblings a lot. Especially Zak and Luca had hard time to adjust to the constant change in his demeanor and got frustrated with him very easily. The first months were close to hell for the whole family and for Sawyer as well as he had troubles to express his emotions and needs, making it harder for his parents and siblings to help him. Now six months later Sawyer has more or less settled into the family, he is a sweet and affectionate boy and became very close to Rasim who can be really patient with his little brother.

The Vasquez family has adopted their fourth child, a ten-year-old boy from Guatemala named Miguel. Miguel was born to an extremely impoverished mother, who had abandoned him on the outskirts of Guatemala City three years ago because she couldn't afford to take care of him anymore. Miguel been on the adoptions list ever since because the adoption agency just wasn't able to find a good home for him.
Because of his three-year predicament, Miguel suffers from depression, can be irritable at times, and is sensitive to rejection; thus, he's currently seeing a child psychologist to help him with those issues. Miguel loves to rescue stray animals and take care of them and wants to work at a rescue shelter when he grows up.

Natasha has flourished in the Geissler-Morse household as they have given her the routine and love that has been missing from the beginning of her life. She is a ray of sunshine who gets on well with both her older siblings though she has a tendency to snap sometimes when they want to play with her more than she wants to play with them. Max and Luka can see that sometimes Tasha struggles to get her feelings out so Max has started teaching her Makaton which has given her a new way to communicate and made her much happier.
Meanwhile, Kade is doing well in mainstream school despite a medical diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome, he is already hotly tipped to receive a swimming scholarship for high school and continues to swim with his dad five times a week.
Octavia is doing well in secondary school, she has a solid group of friends who support each other and take part in all sorts of outdoor activities together though Octavia still loves cuddling up with Kade when she gets the chance. Taytay found Tasha a little prickly and difficult to love to begin with but learning Makaton alongside her sister has given them a starting point to bond.
