Max and Luka have formally adopted 7-year-old Parker, son of friends of the family who tragically died in a car accident. The family have known Parker since he was four years old and they became friends with his parents who Max would see at the school gates every day while dropping Tasha off into the same class. With the mixture of children in the household, it made sense to also take in Parker who, prior to his parents' deaths, was already struggling at school. Max decided to take Parker out of school for a few months and teach him at home while he came to terms with the massive upheaval in his life. Since the other children use Makaton and speak German sparingly, Max and Luka have also been teaching Parker these ways to communicate with his siblings and he has taken to this very well. A few days a week, Luka also takes Parker with him to Kade's swimming practises but Parker seems more interested in the pool's aquarium than going in the water himself.

Octavia is nearly all grown up and in college! She's thinking hard about her future and what she wants to do but continues to be a very caring, genuine young lady who cares deeply for her family and loves spending time with all the children - especially Tasha.
Kade attends 3 schools across the week; he takes core subjects at the mainstream high school, spends some afternoons at a special school where he is involved in lots of practical learning and social skill development to help with his autism, and also has time out of the curriculum to pursue his swimming which he receives a scholarship for and is hoping to be scouted for the National Juniors when he turns 14 next month.
Tasha was recently diagnosed with PTSD due to her horrific start in life but she hasn't let it get her down. Max is very involved with her schooling and often goes in when Tasha has meltdowns, meanwhile the staff have been really accommodating for the youngest Geissler-Morse and has set up a sensory, safe room for Tasha to go when it all gets a bit too much for her. After a rocky start, Tasha has bonded with big sis Taytay and the two love spending girlie days together. Tasha likes getting arty and messy.

Len and Evie adopted young Dominik from Pennsylvania, his former family couldn't deal with his insulin pump and the upkeep it needed, so he had to be removed.
He is having trouble adjusting to having so many new siblings, and doesn't get along with any of them currently, preferring to spend time in his room under the guise of doing homework or talking to some of his old friends. Len and Evie are doing their best do draw him out, but so far are having little success. They are considering signing him up for acting classes, because they hope that that will help.
Xander and Celia are married now, and live in a small house nearby. They both work as teachers at a high school, and often visit the Sommerhoff children on the weekends.
Orson ended up moving downstairs into Xander's old room once he moved out, and he loves having his own space. He still hangs out with Pippa and Eli, but much less than he used to now that he's in high school.
He and Kate still do homework together, and he has kept up with baseball.
Kate is the best in her class, and still often helps younger kids in her free time. She still sketches sometimes, to relieve stress, and tries to do so outside whenever possible to get sunshine.
Pippa mainly plays forward on her soccer team, and she loves going out after games with her team. She tries to get Kate to come along, but her twin doesn't always agree.
Eli is close with the both the twins, though for vastly different reasons. He respects the space that Kate [and Orson] need, and hangs out with Pippa or Finn when he wants to. He generally pitches in baseball, but is comfortable in most positions.
Finn loves his new older brother Nik, often trying to invade his space until he gets angry and tricks him into leaving. He is doing alright in school, and Kate helps him if he has trouble in math, or science.
The Sommerhoffs who are interested still attend the synagogue on Saturdays - Orson, and Pippa usually stay home - and Kate in particular finds herself very interested in Judaism.

About a year after adopting Caitriona, Alice and Oliver decided their family was complete. They had dropped Adele off at university and they realized that the kids were growing up so fast. Alice and Oliver wanted to devote their remaining time to the kids they already had. However, as Robert Burns said, "the best laid schemes of mice and men often go awry." Three years after that decision was made the tragic death of Oliver's best friend and his wife left their thirteen-year-old son orphaned and in the Frosts' care.
Perseus Cain, called exclusively by the nickname Percy, has known the Frosts since birth. Because his father was Oliver's best friend, the two families often got together for dinner and they even spent many holidays together. Despite the close connections, Percy's naturally shy nature prevented him from bonding with Everard and Morwenna during their childhood and he had barely spoken to either Adele or Caitriona before his parents' death. He was staying with his grandparents while his parents celebrated their twentieth anniversary on a cruise and was therefore not present when the boat crashed and sank, taking them with it. He stayed with his grandparents until the will was all sorted out, sharing his grief with those close family members. By the time he moved in with Alice and Oliver, he was past the shock of his parents' deaths and, although he was devastated, he was able to see the move as an opportunity to start afresh at a new school (he had been bullied at his old school) and make friends. He tried to open up with the other kids, and has become quite close friends with two boys who share his passion for science and math. He tends to be tongue-tied around girls, but he is working to alter that with his new sisters.

About a year after adopting Caitriona, Alice and Oliver decided their family was complete. They had dropped Adele off at university and they realized that the kids were growing up so fast. Alice and Oliver wanted to devote their remaining time to the kids they already had. However, as Robert Burns said, "the best laid schemes of mice and men often go awry." Three years after that decision was made the tragic death of Oliver's best friend and his wife left their thirteen-year-old son orphaned and in the Frosts' care.
Perseus Cain, called exclusively by the nickname Percy, has known the Frosts since birth. Because his father was Oliver's best friend, the two families often got together for dinner and they even spent many holidays together. Despite the close connections, Percy's naturally shy nature prevented him from bonding with Everard and Morwenna during their childhood and he had barely spoken to either Adele or Caitriona before his parents' death. He was staying with his grandparents while his parents celebrated their twentieth anniversary on a cruise and was therefore not present when the boat crashed and sank, taking them with it. He stayed with his grandparents until the will was all sorted out, sharing his grief with those close family members. By the time he moved in with Alice and Oliver, he was past the shock of his parents' deaths and, although he was devastated, he was able to see the move as an opportunity to start afresh at a new school (he had been bullied at his old school) and make friends. He tried to open up with the other kids, and has become quite close friends with two boys who share his passion for science and math. He tends to be tongue-tied around girls, but he is working to alter that with his new sisters.

Morgan and Suraya were thrilled to adopt a cute little boy, they named Jasper after his new father. His MN Qadir comes from is new mother's maiden name. Marion is after his brth mother who was also named Marion. He's happy whenever he's around people. He likes his new sister best, Aicha can always calm him down or make him smile. She's become more outgoing ever since Jasper (the kids call him Jazzy) has joined the family. He made his adjustment more easily than Suraya and Morgan would have thought possible. It had been harder with his brothers and sister.
The other children are doing fine as well. Driss and Maxence play together a lot and since Maxence got held back in school, they're in the same class now. Aicha is in their class too, but she has a best friend of her own and doesn't play much with the boys at school. They only all play together when they're making music. Driss wants to be a drummer, Aicha has started on the guitar and Maxence wants to be a famous singer one day. Jazzy rattles along with his toys and no one minds he's off beat a little ;)

The older kids are able to help out with them a lot now, which they finds makes things a lot easier. They love the chaos and excitement of their large family, and think they'll adopt one more time before they're finished.
Wei has started at school, since they don't want her to get too far behind. She's still learning English, but working hard at it. Xinyi is still at home until the next school year. The days are packed with activities for all the kids, and everyone is thankful Amity can drive now to help them all get where they're supposed to go.

Jorge and Stephanie have welcomed another daughter, six-year-old Reagan from Hot Springs, Arkansas. Reagan is bilingual like her adopters, but she's insecure (don't know what for, turning heads when she walks through the do-o-or...anybody catch that? No? *sighs and continues with the story*) in her relationship with them. This is because Reagan has been in so many foster homes that she no longer feels like she belongs in any one family, yet she will get emotionally attached to strangers. Like Miguel, Jorge and Stephanie have set her up with a therapist to help her deal with all of this change and lack of affection for her adoptive parents.
