It is very interesting and classy. Maybe it would be better as a middle name though?

In Firefly, there was a character named Jubal Early for the Confederate general. I will always think of that!

It has appealing syllables. Jules, Julian, Jude, Jubal... I don't dislike the sound of it. But I think it belongs in the realm of characters, a little too out there for real life.

I immediately thought “Jubal Early”. Partly because of the Confederate General, and partly because of Firefly.

well, i like it less now that i know it was the name of a Confederate general, and that'd be the biggest association outside of the Biblical character (though i don't know yet how well known he is- i grew up in NY and now live in MD). the name and story behind it is sweet though (i really like musical associations and meanings, and they're a little hard to find).

i also like how it sounds so simple, and yet it stands out so much. based just on sound of it, it makes me think of fruit, warm colors, and summer.

It sounds like an adjective version of jube (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jujube_(confectionery)) - describing something as being like a jube?

I want to like it, but it feels incomplete. Even though it's pronounced different I always want to say Jubal-ee. It is kind of cool.

It sounds really African to me. I don't like the sound of it, or the Jub- beginning.

It reminds me of Jobal Naberrie from Stars Wars, but she didn't make it into the final cut of the movie, so probably not a common association.

I think it reminds me of Jewel, and thinking about it for a guy, I imagine someone chubby.

I think it’s nice and usable. I think of the figure from the Torah and don’t really think of the confederate general. The meaning is also nice.

I knew a family with a little boy named Jubal. I think it's an ok name.

I know of a man named Jubal, he's in probably his 50's. I dislike it. For me it comes down to it reminding me of tubal ligations and so it's a weird thing for me.
