Someone I know has a little Astrid, probably around 7 now. It's a nice name.
I like Asta better than Aster. Star and Daisy are nice, if a bit unintuitive. Astri would work; maybe even Dita.

Dita does work, I don't care for it much but I do like Astri. For some reason I didn't think of Astri/ Astrie, I had only thought of Astie which I didn't like.
