Help[Games] Women of Science Count-Along CAF
Hi, this is my first name game! I was inspired by awesome women in science-related fields, historic and modern, so I thought I’d make one and a Count-Along Create-a-Family seemed like the simplest [though I’m sure there’s a secret to putting the lists in order that I don’t know about. If anyone feels like sharing their magic formula you can PM me. :)]
Use an eight-sided dice* such as this one: https://www.brockjones.com/dieroller/dice.htm in each category. *If you prefer to use a different sided dice for any reason, please do so. If you want to create more than one family, I’d love to see what fate brings you.
My category separations are just suggestions. If there’s a name in any list that you’d like to swap and use in another, go for it! (I essentially did already since all of the “masculine” names were directly from the women’s first and surnames). Feel free to use a different spelling/variant if you like as well. If you get a repeat name and don’t want to use it again, just choose the next one in the list.
Oh, and as always, post your favorite names in the subject line if you like!
If you’ve never done a Count-Along, you roll the die and then count along that number for the person you’re naming. (e.g. I’m naming DH and I roll a 1, so his fn is Adair. I then roll a 3 and count three from Adar so his mn is Barton.) If you get to the end of the list, keep counting back along at the beginning of the list again.
