Matteo: okay, but it’s not my thing Sebastian: I don’t like it that much. It makes me think of the crab from The Little Mermaid.Lucas: mucus. Victor: it’s alright

Matteo- I think it is handsome and cute, but it is hard for me to imagine on an adult.Sebastian- Seems a bit stuffy.Lucas- classic, handsome.Victor- classic, handsome, a bit less used than Lucas.

I prefer Matthias to Matteo. I don't know why, but Matteo makes me think of a male model who has big biceps and is kind of stuffy.
I like Sebastian, it's nice. Victor is good, too, and makes me think of the hero from my favorite animated movie, Corpse Bride.
I just can't stand Lucas, sorry. It makes me think of a rich brat pouring out champagne and groping girls' breasts. And if you say it in English, I think it sounds like mucus.

They would make for one awesome sibset!I'm not overly fond of each one seperately, but together they're very good. Matteo - I like this best, provided "Matt" would be avoided. Sebastian - I like Sebastian, but would love "Seb" or "Bas" for every day use. I have know people with this name who pulled it off without a nickname though (technically speaking they were Sebastiaan).Lucas - A decent name. I quite like it, but it's getting a bit boring. I know something being used a lot doesn't bother you, but for me it takes the fun out of it.Victor - I used to dislike this name, but it has really grown on me over time. I quite like it nowadays. (Partly, bc I love Oscar and Oscar and Victor would make for a nice sibset imho).

Matteo - I adore this name. It's so much more livelier than Matthew. It reminds me of the character Mattimeo from the Redwall series by Brian Jacques. It just conjures up the image of a good-looking European man, haha. Sebastian - I love it, especially with the nn Bash. It reminds me of the character from the TV show Reign, played by Torrance Coombs. What stops me from totally loving this name is that it's essentially like naming a kid Australian, after a region. But it just sounds so cute. Plus, I have nothing but good associations with the name.Lucas - It's ok. There's nothing bad about it in particular. It just seems a little bland to me. Plus, I immediately think of Star Wars, and that's not my fandom. Victor - I like this name, and I'd like to see it more often. I have a bad association with a Vicky, who was a complete nightmare, but I used to like the name before I met her. It makes me think of Victor Frankenstein, and I enjoyed that novel.

Matteo- I really like Matteo. It's far better than Matthew and even somewhat better than Matthias. It's classy without being stuffy and I think it ages really well. I don't care for "Matt," but wouldn't be enough of a drawback to keep me from using it. Sebastian -This is my favourite of the names listed. I like Seb and Sepi and Bastian and Bas and Basha. I think it sounds posh without sounding uppity, educated without sounding arrogant. It works for all ages and walks of life. The only downside is the Disney crab, if you consider him a downside. (But on the upside- Sebastian Stan.)Lucas -I've got mixed feelings on Lucas. I like Luc / Luke more than Lucas, but I don't dislike Lucas. It's just that whenever I encounter a Lucas, I'm disappointed in a weird way. Like I've never met anyone who actually *fits* the name.. if they makes sense. I would be concerned that it wouldn't age well as well. I can't imagine one older than twenty. I guess I should say I like this name in theory, but so far, not in practice.Victor -I know a terrible man named Victor who should be in prison for sexual assault so I think that one speaks for itself for me. I like Victor Hugo immensely and even my love for him can't overcome the immediate disgusted feeling I get when seeing/hearing this name so I don't think I'm fit to give an opinion on it.

Matteo - not a fan. I love similar names like Mattias, Mathieu and Mateusz, I'd even consider using them, but I don't like Matteo. I think it's the o-ending, I generally don't like it (there are exceptions)Sebastian - I quite like it, it's a nice name and it has so many nicknames to chose from. My favorites are Seb and Bastian.Lucas - it's immensely popular where I live, that's put me off it. It's not a bad name, just very boring.Victor - a bit boring as well. I like the spelling Viktor better.

Matteo: Used to dislike it but after a bit of a while I started to enjoy the sound of it. I much prefer it to 'Matthias' which I don't like at all (The thigh sounding suffix does not appeal to me)Sebastian: Very handsome and classic. A name I probably wouldn't use but wouldn't mind if I did. I've been a fan of this name since my days of being 'Little Mermaid' obsessed as a little girl. It's where I first came across the name.Lucas: Another classic and handsome name. I predict to see this name enter the top 10's next year, which would make me smile. (I'm the type who very much enjoys to see names that I like increasing. Popularity isn't a bother for me) Victor: It's alright. I neither love nor hate it. It's just there.

I dislike Lucas, Lukas and Luke, though for some weird reason Lucy is one of my all-time favourites.Matteo is too unEnglish for me, and in English Matthew is one of the most boring names ever.Sebastian sounds very grown-up and important; Seb is fine as a nn for all ages, so that's all right. But the Bastian form has a very uneducated image where I live (with the Afrikaans pronunciation: Buhs-tee-ahn or, worse, Bahsyahn). As long as that's avoided, it's a great name.Victor is, I suppose, an uncle name to me: DH and I both had an Uncle Victor. Luckily they were both excellent men! I'd use it as an honouring mn. For a girl, I'd also like to use Vickie as an honouring mn, after a friend whose full name it is.

Interestingly enough, Bastian would be seen as ever "fancier" than Sebastian where I'm from. And Sebastian is already seen as quite regal.

Friends here have a Basset hound named Sebastian, for obvious reasons. Lovely dog, but Bassets know their own minds. One day Wife was telling the dog, over and over, in dulcet tones "Sebastian, go to your basket; go to your basket, Sebastian" until Husband got fed up and gave a basso profundo bellow of "Basjan, lie down!", which the pooch instantly did. Regality had clearly been wasted on him.

Hahahaha.
Poor dog.

Matteo - I like it, but I'm not so sure it'd work in Sweden, seeing as it's strictly Italian.Sebastian, Victor - I'm getting a little tired of these names. They're just so dull and predictable to me.Lucas - I really like this one! I may be biased, though, because the lead singer of my favorite band is called Lucas "Luke". lol but yeah, such a great name! Can I suggest the Lukas spelling, which would go better with your Swedish culture? So in summary, your best bet out of these, imo, is Lucas / Lukas.

FWIW; Matteo will work just fine. It's even in the top 100 here. And Lukas wouldn't go better with my culture either - they are both very common spellings. Names with K in them are usually seen as a more traditional spelling, while the names with C usually are a bit more 'posh'. For example, you wouldn't see our royal family use the K spelling (see Carl Philip, Victoria or Oscar for example)

Matteo- Love it, it's got a nicer sound than Matthew. It was the name of my favorite character in a tv show, that was the first time I heard it and I've loved it since.
Sebastian- Love it, it's got a great sound and I love the nickname Bastian. I wouldn't use it because I have a slight lisp.
Lucas- I like it but it sounds horrible in my accent. I prefer the spelling Lukas.
Victor- It's a nice name but I find it dated.

Matteo - the exotic and more interesting version of Matthew. I like it, would love to see it used more often
Sebastian - love it. I find it a handsome, strong and all round decent name. I also think the nn Seb is cute but ages well.
Lucas - not a fan. I know it's juvenile but i can't get past that it rhymes with mucous. And Luke rhymes with puke. It's a fine name though, just not for me.
Victor - I find it dated. Nice as a middle name.

They’re all great names, Matteo is slightly spoiled right now by being the name of a horrible right wing Italian politician.
