[Opinions] Celeb Sibling BA
Justin Bieber's mom just gave birth to his baby sister, and her name is...
...drum roll please...
Bay. Bay Bieber. Basically "hay fever" as a name. *facepalm* I mean, she's cute and all, and I do like the Biebs, but REALLY, MRS. BIEBER???

(Both tabs are rateable, and I used the comments column to put where a name peaked on my list...I know, I'm a nerd lol)

I saw this the other day, and I cringed. Absolutely terrible name.
*barfs*
It's his Dad's daughter, not his Mom's.
His Mom is Patti Mallette. She raised him as a teenaged single mother with the help of her mother and her stepfather and Justin's father maintained communication but was not an active part of his life.
His Dad and his partner had their first child together and that is "Bay Bieber"
Dad (Jeremy Bieber) now has:
Justin
Jazmyn
Jaxon
Bay
Chelsea (Justin's step-mom) has:
Allie
Bay

idiot ...
Bay Bieber. Baby Beaver. Baby Beer. Baby Bear.
This is just so lame. And it also looks very much like she's referencing her dimwit son's first hit, "Baby" which makes some warped sense since that's the "song" that made him the family's meal ticket.
Gag. I knew he had to get his brains from someplace, and it's clear the apple hasn't fallen far from the tree.

Wow..... Just plain awful!!
eta I think Bay is lovely, though I wouldn't have thought of it for a girl. But Bay Bieber? No.

It makes me think of beavers swimming in a bay. I used to really like Bay but ever since people use the term bae I do not like it so much anymore. It is okay, but not with the surname. The Bay B. thing is not that great but I find it worse how first and surname sound together. Bay Bieber really makes me think of someone with a speech impediment saying hay fever but I have a similar problem with Juniper which to me always sounds like a person with a cold trying to say Jennifer. So the first name is fine but it does not work well with the surname.
I don’t think it’s bad but I do think it sounds super random. Wonder what the middle name is?
It's actually Bieber's dad and his wife who had another baby, not his mom.
But yeah...Not really a great name. Bay is alright, but not paired with Bieber. Wish they could have used it as a nickname for something else.

Bay B. Bay B. Bay B. Ohhhhh...
I saw this the other day and that’s what I think of it also, it’s really close to the annoying ‘bae.’

Thank you for all of this. I giggled.
Omg when I first read it, I thought the name was "Bay Bay"
I sort of like Bay as a GP name. I think it would make a spiffy, uncommon middle, or even first but I wholeheartedly agree that it sounds terrible paired with that surname. Really poor decision.
Also, the alliteration...a naming pet peeve of mine. I'm curious to know if a middle name was ever announced?

Bay B. is at least better than Baby, which actually charted (https://www.ssa.gov/cgi-bin/babyname.cgi).
I think it's a harmless nature name.
Though there's something passive about it that I don't like, maybe because "at bay" implies someone's cornered. And it does also refer to barking, but oh well.
It doesn't remind me of hay fever at all.

Baby charted ...
But that doesn't actually mean it was used that much as an actual name. I mean, Unknown, Girl, Boy and Infant also charted in the past and nobody is actually named those.

I wonder why it charted 1984-2005 but not before or afterward.
As I recall, it charted much more frequently in the early days, before the SSA started keeping good records.
OMNG I JUST REALIZED ABOUT THE "BABY" PART! Maybe it WAS Justin's idea! lol
