I think Sita is a lovely name. I would probably expect a Sita to be Indian, so it might look a little off on a white child. My family and I met a Sita when we visited Trinidad. She was of Indian background.

Hi !!!Sita? It seems incomplete.
Infact I have the name Sitara in my PNL which I find beautiful.I much prefer Zita on a non-Indian girl. Or Sita but in the middle.

No, I don't think so. I get the same kind of vibe from it that I get from Maya.It doesn't really register as Indian to me, though. I hear it mainly as a suffix (*cita), and it sounds like Zita, which is European.

I don't really like it. It feel s more appropriate for a pet. Maybe bc it starts with Sit-... I've come across Sita on white Dutch people and both times it felt a little odd. I think if I would meet an Indian woman named Sita it might feel different. Not sure, bc it hasn't happened yet ;)
