I think Sita is a lovely name. I would probably expect a Sita to be Indian, so it might look a little off on a white child.

It doesn't really register as Indian to me, though. I hear it mainly as a suffix (*cita), and it sounds like Zita, which is European.

I've come across Sita on white Dutch people and both times it felt a little odd. I think if I would meet an Indian woman named Sita it might feel different. Not sure, bc it hasn't happened yet ;)
