DW: Muriel Frances Fitzgerald [née Connolly] - Frizzy golden blonde hair, light blue eyes - a musician (singer) b. 1835
Year One: 1855
James & Muriel have been married for two years when they attend the wedding of her younger sister, Dervla Edith Connolly, to Elijah Redmond Falk.
Year Two: 1856
A famine strikes the village where James and Muriel live. Muriel's sister and new brother-in-law both die, as do several of her cousins and extended family. James's parents pass away too.
Year Three: 1857
The village newspaper runs an article about the solid carpentry skills of J. Fitzgerald Co. and there is a highlight for the singing talents of Muriel.
Year Four: 1858
The Fitzgeralds welcome a child -- a boy with curly golden blonde hair and dark blue eyes. His name is Desmond Theodore Fitzgerald.
Year Five: 1859
The Fitzgeralds welcome another child -- a boy with frizzy brown hair and blue-green eyes. His name is Howell Ephraim Fitzgerald.
Year Six: 1860
The Fitzgeralds welcome a third child -- a girl with curly white blonde hair and dark brown eyes. Her name is Oona Rosamond Fitzgerald.
Year Seven: 1861
Even with her growing family, Muriel has still found time for her singing. Her renown is so great that she receives a personal invitation from Queen Victoria for a personal performance.
Year Eight: 1862
The Fitzgeralds welcome a four child -- a girl with curly golden blonde hair and blue-green eyes. Her name is Sorcha Beatrice Fitzgerald.
Year Nine: 1863
The Fitzgeralds welcome a fifth child -- a girl with wavy red hair and light blue eyes. Her name is Mairead Elvina Fitzgerald.
The eldest Fitzgerald boy, Desmond, picks up a new hobby: reading.
Year Ten: 1864
The Fitzgeralds welcome a sixth child -- a boy with curly red hair and light blue eyes. His name is Tiernan Oscar Fitzgerald.
The second Fitzgerald boy, Howell, picks up a new hobby: collecting bugs.
