I quite like them both. I wouldn't use Theodore because I'm not that fond of Theo and Ted seems to derive more comfortably from Edward. And if I wanted a son known as Frank, I'd use Franklin rather than Francis; but I'd be more likely to use Francis and use the full name, not a nn.

I struggle with Theodore. On paper, I feel like I really should like it, mostly because I adore Teddy and I like Theo too. But when I say it aloud, I can't get behind the sound of it, there's something about it that catches in my mouth - it's weird to explain! I recently took it off my list but kept Teddy - go figure!
