[Opinions] Collins
I am sorry, but I dislike this name so much. It is unattractive for either gender and I don't understand why it suddenly became so trendy. Where the heck did it come from? I know it is a surname, but what possesed a bunch of people within the last 2 years to name their daughters Collins?

I don’t get the appeal either. I know it’s a surname, but it doesn’t sound remotely feminine.
All I can think of is Mr. Collins from the 1995 version of Pride and Prejudice: smarmy, oily, and extremly creepy. Only fit for laughter and mockery.
I totally agree about the feminine usage of it, but I think it would fine as a middle name for a boy whose family has a connection to it.
I like Collin on either gender but Collins is horrible for both idk why one little s makes so much difference
I think because it just sounds like a plural of something or possessive, at least to me it does.
I heard it in the movie The Blind Side on a female character and it really grew on me. I don't absolutely love it but I don't have any problems with it either.
I actually found it ever so slightly harder to like the parents because they gave their daughter such a dippy name.
Still good people and a good movie, though.

THANK YOU!
...for agreeing with me! I think it'd be cute on a little girl.

I don't even know what that is.
Odd that Blind Side would make this popular, yet I have not seen a Katniss.

precisely what I'd like to know. I always feel compelled to mentally erase the last letter. I don't mind the name itself but it absolutely screams, "surname only!" And sounds even more ridiculous on a girl.
Some surname-type names work well but Collins just isn't one of them. And yeah, why on girls? *smh*
