I pronounce Anatole and Anatoly differently.
Anyway I find this name exotic and fascinating. I agree with you about its nice sound!
I love names related with light (and sun, moon, stars..). I don't know if this name Is still used in Modern Greek too but I personally hope for it.

I think it is pretty classic and common across the Eastern Christian world because it is the name of a saint. I am not sure about Greece, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was still common there.
