I like Solveig. I have a cousin named Solveig, who is in her late twenties, so I know I'm slightly biased.
I personaly think it is a timeless name, but I can imagine people viewing it as a dated name.

I love Solveig, I don't think anyone would pronounce it correctly where I live so I could never use it. I think its gorgeous.

I love it. I work with a five year old named Solveig, and it wears beautifully. Really suits her.

For a long time (pre-internet research and nobody around to correct me) I pronounced it sole-veeg. Now I know its true pronunciation, here's my verdict: it is too much like Sylvie, which I don't like - I prefer Sylvia

I’m not in Scandinavia but I like Solveig. I like Solvej (Sol-vi with a long i sound at the end) even more!

I like the sound and what it looks like.

it's dated, a typical name for someone around the age of 70, the middle age in sweden is 72.
