[Opinions] Ava
Ava has always been a guilty pleasure of mine. I think it is cute and wish it wasnt so darn popular!

A former classmate of mine just had a baby, and she named her Ava Claire. I think that combo is really generic and I expect there to be multiple just within our community -- like Abigail Grace a few years back.
I grew up with a ton of Ashleys, Brandons, Britneys, Ciara/Kierra/Kiaras, Michaels, and Allisons. I can't even count the number of school conversations that included something like, "Wait...Do you mean Brandon so-and-so or Brandon such-and-such?"
In my mom's day, they had a ton of Donnas (including her sister). Two of them had last names that closely rhymed.
You can imagine how confusing school was. There were people going by initials, nicknames, first and middle names, first and a nickname of the last name, etc.
I think with a name like Ava distinguishing amongst people will be even more difficult. Particularly so if everyone uses the same middle names.
I'm sure they'll find a way, but man, am I glad I just lived through the time of Ashley.
All that said, I do sort of like Ava (as I do most palindrome names). I just hope to see more interesting middle names paired with it. After all, the purpose of names is to distinguish between people.
