[Opinions] uncommon unisex names with simple spelling, nicknames
My partner and I are looking for names that don't have a strong gender association, aren't very common, and have an intuitive spelling/pronunciation. Nickname possibilities are also a plus. In general, we tend to like nature names or place names. Words that aren't usually names but seem like they have potential are also of interest. I'm interested in hearing suggestions and opinions on the list below. Some favorites so far:
Arizona - NN Ari, Zo, Ona; feels like it leans feminine though
Cedar - NN Cece
Dresden - not a great association, but I love the sound
Hollis - partner's not a fan of the sound
Kite - might lean feminine due to similarity to Kate
Linden - the internal rhyme is a little weird
Story - doesn't feel enough like a name to me
