This is my dad's name but he uses a nickname, growing up I only ever heard his family call him Keith, all of his friends and my mother and her family used his nickname. It's also my brother's middle name.

I don't know how I feel about it. I guess the sound really isn't too bad but I know it has SUCH a bad rap (and I'm not quite sure why). I definitely wouldn't use it as a first name and I would be totally surprised to meet a little Keith - though not bad surprise, I guess it would be a pleasant surprise.

I'm considering using it as a middle name if I ever had a son to honour my father, although his middle name is Andrew and that is much easier to pair than Keith.
