It was certainly embarrassing when Lidia and Lucia's governess gave birth to a child that looked suspiciously like the Rey. Desperate for a heir and having given up on his reputation, Teófilo married her. Despite being born illegitimately, little X will indeed inherit Castile when his father passes. Lidia and Lucia, having hoped that one of them might make history by taking the throne themselves, are sourly disappointed, but admit the new baby is very cute.
