It's so ... curly. Maybe all the Kellys I've met had curly hair, or maybe just one. Maybe it's the sound.
The name feels very "born in the 60s-70s" to me. So, just old enough that it's not too much of a mom name.
I like it alright, it's just the strong "around my age" association that puts me off. It's like Leslie that way.
I think it'd be more striking & appealing on a guy - like Leslie would. But, not bad for a girl either.

Curly haha, well I did always want curly hair.
Thank you for your honest opinion! It is very 60s/70s but think it’s “far away” enough to work.
