I dislike the Britney spelling. The letters “b”, “i”, “t”, and “e” jump out at me, so it may as well be “Bite-ney” or “Bite-me”. I associate Brittany as a place name and pronounce it as spelled, three syllables, unlike the other eyesore. Can’t say I’m fond of Brittany, but the only negative association is just having heard of too many bearers, of any spelling, for a while.
