I don't think it would age well. It's fine up to about 7, but after that it's too cute. I'd use Gretchen or Marguerita with the nn Greta.

?? How is Gretchen less cutesy when it is ALSO a diminutive and ends with a diminutive ending, as opposed to the more generic -a?
