Margaret means Pearl, so I wouldn't use Pearl as a middle name.
Anyway, I like Margaret. My husband and I always planned on naming our firstborn Margaret - Margaret Mae or Margaret Cecilia. It didn't feel right by the time I became pregnant and we ended up going with Miriam.
