I've personally never met anybody with the name, and it's pretty uncommon as far as i know where i live (England) but i think its a beautiful name. Opinions please

Ivy is a very pretty name. I met a beautiful reddish-haired and green-eyed little girl with the name Ivy some years back (she was 4 at the time). The name fit her well.

It's an old family name on my mom's side. Just like Bell. I really like it and would love to use it but it doesn't fit with the other names I like.

I think it's cute, would suit a little girl better than an adult imo. But it's still somewhat old-fashioned and classic (though not overused) so it would still "age" well. :b I'd worry about "Poison Ivy" jokes, though. :-/

It is very beautiful. Ivy sounds simultaneously like a nature-child and like it belongs on a regal woman. Definitely a good choice for a name.

It's not common where I live, either.

I love Ivy. It's such a versatile name; on the one hand, it's sweet, but on the other hand? I could totally see an Ivy kicking ass and taking names. I don't know that I'd use it myself, but I have a huge admiration for the name.

I think it's a nice name, and it used to be on my favorites list. My only concerns with it are the connotation with Poison Ivy, and IV's that are used in hospitals.
