It sounds masculine.

Looks like a typo for Mervyn, and therefore masculine. Sounds like Meryl in an unusual accent, and therefore female but not convincingly so.

At first sight I’d presume it’s a boys name. Perhaps because I know a guy named Mervyn. I like the look and sound of the name (mer-ryn). It’s unusual without being too out there.

I am probably in the minority, but i Like it, It makes me think Of something Happy, a Very Merry place,
reminds me of the Marina, Water flowing and waterfalls, and placid seas and boats,
or Marinate, is that like when you put in a sauce, or something, hmm, interesting association,

It's okay.
Not a fave, I think because the look of it just doesn't please me. It looks like "merry" with an N tacked onto it.

True it is a Merry with and n , yet i have seen ley and leigh tack on and lynn and ton and den, and o, a, it goes on and on,
or it could be and m attached to Erryn, Or Eryn, or Erin, who knows, something that jump out at me is the Err in Merryn, How come Merryn is now soured by a mere observation, hehe, is this different than Merrick, Where they put M in front of Erick like name?

I really don't know what it is, the spelling of Merryn just vexes me. It's my reaction to it. It doesn't make it a bad name.
I could stare at any name until it started to look weird ... but with Merryn, it's something I feel immediately.
I'm sure if it were a common name I'd always seen everywhere, I'd be used to it and not think that.

All I can think of is Satan yelling "MERRIN!" For either boy or girl.

What movie or video game is that from? Merrin? hmm i guessing boy but it could be a girl i guess

"The Exorcist". It was the last name of the priest that Satan really wanted to spar with.
