[Opinions] Jenna
Not on of my faves, but not the worst. This name just popped in my head for some reason, lol.
WDYT?

I like it. It's a simple yet beautiful, no-nonsense name. It has a firmiliar, warm, friendly vibe to it and although I don't mind 'Jennifer', I definitely prefer Jenna. (:

It makes me think of Jenna Fischer, which makes me think about how The Office screwed up by naming people things like Jim and Pam and Karen when it really should have named them things like Jen and Emily and uhh Justin. Jenna would have been the PERFECT name for Pam's character, and they called all kinds of other characters by their real first names (Angela, Creed, etc).Jenna is basically Pam to me. A practical, pretty, jeans-wearing, sort of dreamy, not very remarkable name. It's nice. Dignified. Slightly unusual in its exact form, but completely conformist in its aura.Jenna Fischer's name is actually Regina, which is soooo weird to me.

I like it. Much better than Jennifer. And I think it would fit in well with the kinds of names that are popular right now; it's got a similar kind of feel.

Can't provide an etymology, but there was a designer of cutlery, household ornaments etc - mostly metalwork - in South Africa called Jenna Clifford. It's been nagging at my memory and finally surfaced! If I recall, she died a couple of years ago. It had been a very successful business.

It's fine, and I think it's an improvement on Jennifer, because it leaves off the unattractive "fer" ending.

Sounds like a toddler's best attempt at Jennifer, which she'll grow out of very soon. As an independent name in its own right, I just can't see the point.
