Lucia has given birth to a son, Luciano Giovanni, named after both of his parents. With a capable son and a new grandson, Antonio I feels the Vercesi bank is now secure.
Unfortunately, however, a minor plague of cough has infected Venice - leading to all citizens staying in a period of forced seclusion. This deals a small blow to the Vercesi bank’s income, but the plague soon passes and all is back to normal.
