I don't really like it, I prefer Janice

In my head I read that as a boys name Yannis. Like yah-niss.

Sorry to queenv, but this has got to be one of the least appealing names I can think of. The -is ending just grosses me out.

With Janis, I think of Janis Joplin and Janis Ian. It's very musical.

I very much dislike this name.
I associate it with the character on Friends and a loud coworker that is never wrong

The spelling of Janis makes a more male look, similar to/like Loris, Dennis, Louis or Yannis/Giannis~IMO.
Prefer Janice, a friendly soft-sounding name.

I prefer Janice. Janis is a weird spelling and at first glance, I wouldn’t even think it a name.

Both are pretty old-lady ish. No offense to anyone with the name, but I don't like it.

Janice is dated, ugly, and reminds me of the annoying lady off of Friends.

I prefer Janice; it looks more finished and authentic.

I prefer Janice. Bugs the heck out of me when people spell my name Janis. Although I can't judge my own name as far as good vs. bad, pretty vs. ugly, etc., I feel confident that I would prefer Janice over Janis even if Janice weren't my name.
