Help[Games] The CAF to End All CAFs - Royal Edition!
I’ve decided to do a royal family version of the “CAF to End All CAFs” game. Yay!
Rules:
—Pick a surname that will be used for the royal family, and come up with a country. It can be a fictional country or an alternate universe country. If you’re making a fictional country, you can either Google “country name generator”, or use this link to help you with names: https://www.fantasynamegenerators.com/country_names.php
—You can make your rulers king and queen, emperor and empress, tsar and tsarina, sultan and sultana, or maharaja and maharani. King and queen is just default. If your country is going to be a duchy, the titles are grand duke and grand duchess. Prince and princess will apply to their children. If there’s a queen ruler, then her husband will be prince consort.
—Use a 10-sided dice for the number of children, and a 2-sided dice for sexes. Odd for girl, even for boy. This time, you don’t have to add a boy in if you have all daughters. However, we will follow the male-preference primogeniture, so you can only make your eldest daughter queen if she has no brothers. Oldest child should either be Crown Prince or Crown Princess. —Name them whatever you want, but family names tended to repeat themselves. You may have to have a King ____ VIII or a Queen _____ III.
—Historically, the wife of the king hailed from another country (ex: Marie Antoinette, who came from Austria), or was from a noble family (ex: Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, wife of King George VI). You can ease off from this when you reach the 20th century.
—I don’t think middle names were a thing until the birth of the Old Pretender, James Francis Edward Stuart, who was born in 1688. It’s up to you if you want to stick to middle names; you can give them as many as you want. If you have a Russian royal family, be sure to use patronymics (Ivanov/Ivanova for the children of Ivan). Asian families don’t use surnames.
